BOSA ry is an interdisciplinary and national academic beer society founded in January 2003. Since history is diverse, we have opened it up a little more in the history review. In addition to promoting beer culture, the association aims to create interdisciplinary contacts in the student community. Our membership is quite broad, from ready-made economists to technology students and humanists! Our membership extends from Rovaniemi to Helsinki and from Turku to Lappeenranta, and there are currently more than 2000 members.
BOSA ry organises a wide range of activities according to the wishes of its members throughout the year. The cornerstones of our activities are regular tasting evenings, various events, beer brewing and excursions. So why don't you join in good company as well?
Purpose and activities of the association
The purpose of the Academic Beer Society – BOSA ry is to develop and promote beer culture and improve drinking habits in a more cultivated direction, primarily in the Tampere higher education community, but also elsewhere in Finland and abroad, if possible. In addition to its core activities, BOSA also introduces other culinary delights. In order to achieve its purpose, BOSA also examines issues relating to the production of beer and cider.
The association aims to establish contacts around the culinary- and beer industry and other associations, to organize trips, excursions, tours, parties, sauna evenings, restaurant visits, tastings, discussions and educational events for its members. The association also supports the members' aspirations for physical activity and mental and physical well-being by arranging exercise and sports opportunities.
